Tuesday night we had over 3/4 inch of rain. Thankfully, it was not quite the torrential downpour that has become the norm of late. It must have been fairly gentle, there were no huge gullies washed in the gardens or the sheep paths.

I love the way things look in the morning after a nice rain. Everything seems so clean and fresh.
The contrast between the shades of green and the rich brown of the freshly worked soil is a thing of beauty to my eyes.
It seems as if you can actually see the plant growth happening before your eyes.
I just can't let myself dwell on the fact that some of those growing plants are the ever present WEEDS!
