Visiting the Farmers' Market - A (nearly) Wordless Wednesday

A Market day starts before sunrise...

There are all sorts of products just waiting for you...

...food, food and more food!

Friendly vendors to meet your needs and answer your questions.

Music and ambience make for a wonderful Saturday morning.

Want more? Here's a video montage of the Market...

...and another...

On behalf of Market vendors everywhere, I'd like to say...

We couldn't do it without our loyal customers.

  2. The farmer and I were talking about farmers' markets earlier. They have never really got going over here except in some of the larger towns. When in Canada and the States we visited some which filled market halls and were wonderful. It was there that I got my first taste of fiddle shoots, which I love.

  3. Adore farmer's markets. That first photo is a winner winner chicken dinner!
And, do not laugh at me, but you know those VFW "Turkey Shoot" signs? Drove by one once that said, "Ham Shoot this Saturday." HA HA HA. I laughed a tad sarcastically, then asked my mother, "Are they gonna shoot it in the can, or what?" She nearly fell out of the car for laughing. "Did you think they shoot REAL TURKEYS???" She had the good grace Not to add, "Or pigs."
