Thanks for taking the time to write. I...Hi Maureen!
Thanks for taking the time to write. It sounds cozy there.

I am so sorry to hear of your knee pain. I feel for you (really) I was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter’s disease in seventh grade. Knee pain was a constant for years. It finally got better when I was done growing, but now I am dealing with “old age”. Lol

My advice: Be good to your heating pad!

As you were typing and wondering about the snow, I was peering out into the darkness looking for the cat and seeing the first snowflakes. Thankfully, we only got a good dusting. I think y’all probably got more. Since my bottle babies are down to three bottles a day, I’m usually done with outside stuff shortly after supper. We tend to go to bed with the chickens. Well, not WITH…but, the darkness of winter has us tucking our heads under our wings fairly early.

…and now it’s time to head out for morning chores...

Ack! The cat decided that it was too cold to eat her mouse outside. So, she brought it in the house. Today is off to an interesting start.

Have a great day! I’ll be praying for your recovery.
Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03599739740886087571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2819048519590916875.post-75922034890551468432014-02-17T21:57:01.159-05:002014-02-17T21:57:01.159-05:00Hi Barbara, Sitting here in bed with right leg up ...Hi Barbara, Sitting here in bed with right leg up on pillow (acute patellar tendonitis), Josephine draped around my left hip, husband sleeping to my right, typing one-handed, and waiting to see if we get 1-3" of snow tonight. As I do this, I wonder if you are in the barn or snug in the house. What an undertaking, farming! Love your Sunday walk pix. Especially the one just above the dogs on the snow bank at the end. And also the close-up face of a sheep.
I hope your week is blessed like crazy!
Maureen @ Josephina Ballerinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026799070718705353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2819048519590916875.post-24924836975678267332014-02-16T19:12:46.548-05:002014-02-16T19:12:46.548-05:00Hey Mandy! The hard, crusty drifts are creating new fun as well as a few problems. Ellie can get over the fence now into the chicken pen...and eat chicken food. Oh, joy. And Gus found a partially full Mountain Dew bottle and was playing some sort of game in the back yard that looked like a combo of soccer and curling. It was pretty funny until I figured out that a Gus hopped up on Mountain Dew caffeine would NOT be a good idea. He really didn't want to give up his toy. I'm such a mean mama.
Thanks for commenting...have a great week!Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03599739740886087571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2819048519590916875.post-42820788001474368752014-02-16T18:13:05.472-05:002014-02-16T18:13:05.472-05:00I love the dogs sitting on top of the snow piles! ...I love the dogs sitting on top of the snow piles! We got over a foot of snow in Fauquier and our dogs requested a few shoveled paths as well ;) but the best has been the nice crunchy layer on top that we have right now-they are loving being able to just run on top and not fall through. Too funny!
